Meeting
Areas
- Currently
the firepit in the center of Camp is the welcome for gatherings.
- On
the horizon and being worked on this year, is the barn, which is
planned with an educational indoor area that can comfortable accomodate
up to 30 in circle, and 50 in a staged format.
- Next
year (2013) our plans include the breaking of ground for our Cedar Kiva
Meeting House and Lodging, which then will accomodate 48 easily
indoors, with a large center staging area and fire pit.
Camping
We accomodate up to 40-60 people in our traditional wilderness tip camp
in 8 tipis, sanctuary tents and personal tents. All tipis are
complete with futon beds and firepit for personal comfort.
Food & Drink
Our Outdoor Kitchen at the Tipi Camp provides seating for groups of up
to 40. Family recipes are the inspiration for our cooking and include
luscious organic produce, free range poultry, hormone-free meat and
dairy products, and extraordinary cheeses. We use organic produce from
local farmers and our own permaculture garden whenever possible. Our
chef creates a Native American cuisine with alluring flavors.
Offerings
The Sanctuary is housed on 76+ acres of beautiful Sangre de Cristo
foothills with hiking trails meanders through pristine native live
pinyon, ponderosa and oak, and the surrounding open space offers
panoramic view of Hermit's Peak. Special features include a beautiful
permaculture garden that provides fruits and vegetables for our
sustenance, a labyrinth, a medicine tent nestled in a peaceful oak
grove, a sweat lodge, and multiple areas for quiet contemplation or
activities.
