A Gift from My Ancestors
by Lynda Yraceburu, February 2008 - The Village Witch E-Zine

My name is Lynda Yraceburu, I am Mugar Romonie, Chochipie Chuvenhani, Hungarian Gypsy, traditional healer.  I am honored to share Vas Pesh, HandWalking.

I remember many lifestimes as a Chuvenhani, Healer, as well as healers in my family tree.  My Purodad, Grandfather, was a Chuvehano for his clan and a healer in World War II.  I did not grow up aware of my Roma Gypsy roots.  However, I have always been aware of my hands.

In 1986, while working as a cardiovascular x-ray technologist and dedicated health cre professional, I gurned the candle at both ends and pushed my body to the brink of no return.  I used every ounce of energy in my reserve to stay alive.  Radiation poisoning set in motion mass physical and system shutdown.  In my family genetics, we have bone degernation which brought forth spurring, lipping and tears up and down my spinal column.  This left my physical body disabled.

Constant migraines, stiff necks, Epstein-Barr, endometriosis and kidney failure were some fo the physical problems I was dealing with.  I also had a mental break down and bankruptcy to add to the already long list of burdens that plagued me.

My fire was but a mere flicker.  I instinctively knew, and had enough energy to put one hand in the other in a certain posture and left it there until I could feel pulses in a balanced way.  I had dreams and would be shown different things to do with my hands.  Slowly, very slowly energy cme back and the embers re-kindled, which helped me to see how out o balance my body was mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally.

I was shown that stagnant energy in my body could be seen in my hands.  I found I could relieve all the physical pains in my body, but stimulating different areas of my hands or holding fingers and waiting for balanced pulses.  I could take care of things like allergies, headaches, colds, stuffy noses, high/low blood pressure, sciatica, nausea, constipation, hot and cold flashes and increase energy, to name a few.

As my physical body regained its strength, the rest of my bodies - mental, spiritual, emotional - started opening as well.

I learned how to balance, release, and revitalize all of me.  As I continued working with my hands regularly, I found I could balance what ailed me in minutes.

Many years later, I lived with my Rom Puri Dai, Grandmother of the Heart, Juliette de Bairacli Levy.  She spent time tracing lines in my hands, spinning mounts, pulling here, pushing there and activating cellular knowing.  Grandmother brought clarity and helped fill in teh gaps.  She gave conformation of things I had been doing all my life.  In a soft low towne she told me, "This is the medicine of your people... use it, share it... and be well." More than anything Grandmother helped me understand the gift I was given and the importance of sharing the knowledge with all those that would listen.  Now, over 100 and a little older it may be okay to call her Grandmother (Note, Juliette crossed in September 2009 in Switzerland)

I have seen many wonderful blessings and miracles with the use of Vas Pesh, from balancing daily energies to saving peoples' lives due to heat prostration and high blood pressure.  I am honored to share this gift from my ancestors.
