Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center Project Status Summer 2011 We have found the land and we are buying it! The Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center is being built in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains – New Mexico or Arizona, on a mountain with trees and grass lands, live water, and nurturing energies. The Sanctuary will be a healing & learning center where the lessons of earth human resonance and eco-psychology will be featured using both modern and traditional teachings. Humanity is struggling to understand the Earth Changes and realign perspective so that a more harmonious lifestyle can be embraced. The land reflects our perspective. We're referring to earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic action. Hundreds of thousands of people seek ways to co-create peace and sustainable life on this planet – generating $12 million annually in revenue. Much of this money goes into educational and scientific projects, as well as environmental protection. We propose that our Learning Center will put forth the practices of old traditions born of earth. Together we will care for others, and share cross-cultural wisdom teachings that will ease the transition of our current evolutional state. TODAY THE WISDOM IS AVAILABLE... Individuals seek out WisdomKeepers and programs that are cooperative, and earth friendly. This is one reason, the Sanctuary will make indigenous traditions, ceremonies and ancient healing knowledge accessible to everyone again. "What we do goes far beyond suggestion or the projections of traditional spirituality. Life is a song, an arrangement from the Sacred Parents, who expect us to continue singing in harmony with All Our Relations. For this we develop our gifts to be used for the harmonious well being of all the levels of vibrational evolution,” as Maria’s grandfather has already said. Traditional earth teachings past, present and future like Storyteller Circles, healing retreats, medicine walks, ceremonies and Elders Wisdom Workshops will be utilized, hand in hand, with the most current methods in evolutional teaching. This new, interconnected approach will be conducted and evaluated, both metaphorically and in effectiveness. The Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center is being built in the mountains of New Mexico. We have found the land and are in the process of buying it!. The pristine landscape begs an experience of transformation in and of itself. The building plans are being constructed to be run in a self-sustaining and co2 neutral manner. Every structure will meet the highest standard in ecological suitability. In addition to the learning & healing center, the building complex will also contain an agricultural zone. Right now, Janet Elk is designing a permaculturally sound garden and working through challenges of high desert farming A sustainable and moderate type of indoor farming is planned, where plants can be grown within a green house situation. The production of herbs, fruits and vegetables will integrated in to wellness programs and healing processes. Every program will assign time upon the land to tend to the plants and/or livestock. They will learn to communicate in ancient ways, thereby recognizing their own co-creative power. They will practice connection and service both to community and nature, and in doing so, notice the lightening of their hearts and healing of their wounds. They will learn how the land prospers and thrives and bring this knowledge home to their communities and families, so that in future, they will be less dependant upon expensive, imported sustenance. Objective I The establishment of the Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center that reunites participants with a sense of connection and understanding of the land with traditional and modern philosophy approaches. It should provide space for about 60 beds. A team of experienced Elders and Professionals oversee the project and monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the cross-cultural methods and their combinations. -> Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center will foster a healthy and successful life-style, especially for the small eco-village community dedicated to the operation of the facility. Objective II Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center will foster the development of sustainable farming and creative work, partially financing itself from the sale of its own agricultural & art products, workshops & programs faciltiate by community members. The collaboration in the traditional community lifestyle sustainability is also a part of the therapeutic process. Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center will be built and maintained according to the most current methods available in sustainable architecture and building management. -> Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center will support the implementation of sustainable venues in the location where it is finally established. Objective III Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center offers a nurturing atmosphere for people that have an interest in nature-connection, cross-cultural sharing and regeneration of life. The center, in and of itself, will be a location of strength and feature itself as a retreat used for seminars and training. It is an inspiration in the field of traditional earth healing and life methodology, as well as sustainable medicine and agriculture. -> Taa-naash-kaa-da (Great Coming Together) Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center will be a place of inspiration and regeneration for people from around the world. “Before us stretches a time which we can fashion into greatness and beauty - a time that began with our first meeting, and which will last into eternity.
