Training & Community Development

When Yraceburu EarthWisdom started in 1972, most of our work was with women. Since then, Earth-Human orientation has been our focus as we support and develop programs. We do our best to align in this purpose where possible. We also deliver a wide range of customized training, facilitation, and consultation services.

Instilling a lifetime commitment to service

Getting people inspired to play an active role in their communities is what YEW is all about!

Many initially participate to experience the sensation of being connected to Changing Mother Earth and All Our Relations and then find that they enjoy the connection so much that they want to learn more.

Why join?

As a member of the YEW Training Communities, you’ll gain leadership skills and exposure to career possibilities, learn more about your community, try new things, and help others. It helps you assume leadership qualities already lying within you ready to awaken.

How much time is involved?

It depends on which Training you sign up for.

  • Creating a Common Ground of Understanding
    EldersWisdom
: Ingenious & Cross-Cultural awareness training.  Romanticized, prejudiced or inaccurate portrayals of Native people contibute to a continued climate of cross-cultural misunderstanding. YEW's EldersWisdom program offers an introduction to history, traditions and current realities of Indigenous Peoples.  Originally designed to be presented in elementary school cultural days, courses now include groups studying earth ways, governmental agencies & companies that work with the indigenous, as well as continuing work with the schools systems from Kindergarden up to Universities.   Courses are adapted to be relevant for the sponsoring group, and we welcome agencies serving Indigenous clients including human services, business and law enforcement agencies.  We have experience providing cultural presentations and learning experiences for business and international groups.  Coming Soon! >
