We are learning, each day of our path, to see more clearly what lies before us. Less and less are we hampered by our own needs, confused in that which we face. We all have within us the talent for seeing things as they really are. But it is a process that takes practice, a process of turning within to the untapped talent which is one of the gifts of a spiritual life.
Negativity confronting the day is sure to complicate any experiences. A simple misunderstanding can be exaggerated into a grave situation, requiring the energy of many people to handle it. On the other hand, a patient, trusting, loving attitude can turn a grave situation into a positive learning experience for all affected.
Praise softens. Criticism hardens. We can become all that we want to become. We can draw the love of others to us as we more willingly offer love and praise. We have an opportunity to help one another as we help ourselves grow in the self-love that is so necessary to the successful living of each day.
Spirit’s presence is within us, now and always, even when we feel alone, alienated and scared. We often overlook Spirit’s presence because we don’t recognize it. Our talents, our desires and our pursuits are the evidence - all the evidence we’ll ever need once we understand it - that Spirit is present within and about us all the time.
We can rest assured, our higher power is caring for us. Each breath we take is Spirit-filled, and the plan for our lives is an accumulation of necessary experiences that is helping us to grow and envelop our special talents. What we often forget is that the lessons of our lives stretch us, enlighten us, ready us to be the individuals we desire within to be.
We can nurture the moment and know that the feelings offered us with each moment are our friends, the teachers our inner selves await. And we can be mindful that this time, this combination of events and people, won’t come again. They are the gift of the present. We can be grateful.
Our security in any situation is within, if we but know how to tap it. It is within because that is where the strength we are blessed with resides, the strength given us from the power greater than ourselves. “Going within,” “Entering the Silence,” “Tapping the Source,” takes, but, a decision. Next, it takes stillness, and then, patience. But peace will come.
