South Tablet: Return of Innocence
Search for experiences that create balance. The south brings information to soften the character, to protect Self, to teach respect. There is a place within where Earth meets light that generates the energy of balance. We see in our tablet how our heart center opens radiating a creative power that is without and within. Today’s art project invites you to experience your wholeness.
This tablet is about bringing your Inner Child home. All our tablets will be creations of drawing or paining, and as you can see from my tablet below… sometimes other things might find their way into your hands and imagination simultaneously.

This tablet is about bringing your Inner Child home. All our tablets will be creations of drawing or paining, and as you can see from my tablet below… sometimes other things might find their way into your hands and imagination simultaneously.
We prepare with simple ritual. First set aside time to do this ritual exercise. You’ll need to commit to about an hour for each assignment. Supplies: four sheets of paper the same size. I like 11x14 – gives you some good visual, but you’re going to want to eventually hang this on a wall somewhere so you can add to it and see it as it evolves; some pens, colors, paints – Linda likes glitter.

Now draw. There are several things I want you to include with this tablet that will be symbolic. You want to include:
Give thanks. Hang the tablet where you can see it. We will talk about the symbology next meeting, and then you can continue to add to it as you are drawn to do so! This evolution continues as an ongoing project for one year.
- Something that represents the wisdom your child gave you in the journeywork (tiponi – freedom from ego – coyote’s lesson)
- Something that represents physical action that is fun, joyful, childlike (having faith in self & receiving messages from the Earth Mother)
- Something that represents your truth in completion of this symbol (breaking the mirror – the child becomes the teacher and all masks between adult and child are dropped)
