It was midnight when Moonflower became alert to the return of Tzegojuñí. The night was warm, and the thin, clouded light of Grandmother Moon was quite inadequate for seeing through the darkness of the new moon sky. Moonflower had tried to wriggle into a more revealing position without too much apparent movement, but her ability to do so was limited. Descendants of the Snake Star had infared night vision. She disturbed the energy field with the heat of her auric field, and there would be no hiding from Tzego tonight. She considered moving her position, but was afraid that she would be seen by the returning two-spirit – nadlé. That would eliminate her entire effort in stretching herself in the dream…
