In 2009, I led one of the last immersion retreats to my homeland… Apacheria. Since then, we've gathered at the Ranch, first in New Mexico, and now here in Ramona, California. The energy of these gatherings brings us together in a way that is transformative. We create a moment that stands outside of time… a moment that will never be forgotten. – Maria

Day 1
Your unique adventure begins when you step into a world reminescent of 100 years ago… You will be transported across time's vast memory, to our ranch among ancient oak and meandering sycamore. Our immersion starts with a warm introductory Talking Circle and short orientation to how the retreat runs. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible. After a sumptuous dinner we will gather around a Storyteller Fire as Maria introduces the principles of tlish diyan cosmology. We will start the Ritual of Purification, and request the due permission of our Ancestors and the Mountain Spirits to start the search for what we individually, and cohesively, need in our lives.

Day 2
We gather at the Dreamer's Medicine Wheel… an leave blessings to each of the 24 Stone People. We celebrate shi tsuye tlendil… encountering the Power of 4 Spiraling Together, and contact the three Guardians of Time: the Bear, the Puma and the Snake. The Ritual that Purifies the 13 kyong (chakra) joins us to everything in the vibrational frequency of Earth Mother. In the evening we Jump the Moon and unite our masculine-feminine energies, sliding into the Silence as we focus our energy on the Eye of the Puma.

Day 3
Set intention for Drummaking with cousin and special guest facilitator… Yolanda Martinez. There's nothing like birthing your own drum and connection instrument to Earth Mother. We've hosted Yolanda since 2003, and happy to be able to share her wisdom again this year. Afternoon is personal time to socialize & have fun. Evening work is divided with FireKeeper Lessons for 2nd Penseh and above with Linda, while 1st Penseh works with the dzil kugha and Maria.

Day 4
We make our offering of thanks to Grandfather Sun. We spend time in the morning working with the Dreamer's Medicine Wheel. In the afternoon we Birth our Drums with Yolanda, as we finalize the sacred circuit. Contacting the Star Sisters and practicing some doubt/Shadow of Fear removal, we spend time with our drums and… CAMERAS… to do a little night photography and energy calling!

Day 5
It's the last day of retreat. New friendships, insights and feelings have taken hold. You realize your most precious souvenir is the sense of inner peace and calm that comes from participating in this extraordinary experience. Our time closes with a traditional giveaway and prayers of gratitude. Your journey home begins when you get back to the flow of traffic. You leave our mountain home with an unforgettable image of a place where deep emotions run authentic and 7000 years of family history echoes through a hawk's cry. shii shuye tlendil… 4 Spiraling Together, has found a place in your heart and you will never be the same.
