SACRED GROUND - OUR SPIRITUAL HOME
Lightning flashes during monsoon season, reminding me of that fateful day in 2004 when I was struck by lightning. We have a beautiful space that looks like 100 years ago, and the Winds of Change swirl the energies above us, creating a vortex of peace and calm: "This for our community of family to call home."
This history of the ranch we call home began with the local 'ipay and Kumeyaay tribes. Our old growth oak and grinding stone fill megalyths provided a gathering ground for acorn harvest annually. We sit just off Highway 67 in east San Diego, just below "Moon Rocks Mountain" – aka Mt. Woodson. We moved onto this 8 acres of leased private property (appointments required) February 1st, 2017, when we returned to San Diego after 9 years in New Mexico. We believe that our life work was confirmed, when our mystical connection made us aware of the property – within 24 hours we had signed the lease and never once looked inside the house – it was all about the land and the frequency. At this very sacred place, imbued with healing power, the Spirit of Mother Earth can be found. We invite you to explore, plan a visit and get to know All Our Relations that help make up this family home of transformation, harmony and rebirth. |
Living Close to the Land
For us, being able to rise and great the sun each morning with pollen, and walk the land is confirmation of the beauty of our work. For Linda and I, it's about maintaining a space of magic as Guardians¬ akicita'ni… so that landscapes, like the Ranch, and other places we have lived, continue to exist for our ceremonies, for you to experience, celebrate and give thanks for your connection to the sacred Changing Mother Earth… esonkñhsendehi. We hold space and always hold space and a container for this community to call home.
We are currently in our resource phase of what we will do, and where we will go in our efforts to find a permanent home for the church. We love this land dearly, and but we are leasing and the landlord's mother is getting up there in age. He has told us when it is time he will be wanting to take possession of the ranch again so he can be closer and help with her. So of course, we're looking at options… Our intention is to stay in the San Diego area if at all possible when that time comes, because no one can see the future. Over this year (2025) we will be looking at details involved to fundraise, look at options, and hopefully not need any of them until around 2030. tlish diyan teaches us to be prepared as best we can for any situation and that's what we're doing.
As always, our goal is to provide a safe space for the ceremonies that perpetuate the life of the land continue. Thank you for joining your intention with ours.
